Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi’s Elections 2025-2026 will be held on December 22, 2024 on Sunday: Commissioner Karachi and Chief Election Commissioner Syed Hassan Ali Naqvi

A press conference regarding the elections of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi for the year 2025-2026 was held at Haseena Moin Hall, where Commissioner Karachi and Chief Election Commissioner Syed Hassan Ali Naqvi briefed the media. On this occasion, DC South Altaf Sario and President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, were also present. During the press briefing, Commissioner Karachi and Chief Election Commissioner Syed Hassan Ali Naqvi stated that the elections for the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi are held every two years. It is not just election, but also a festival.

The responsibility for conducting elections transparently lies with the Commissioner and the Deputy Commissioner. The election for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, and 12 members of the Governing Body for the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi for the year 2025-2026 will take place on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The voter list will be displayed on December 9, nomination forms can be obtained from the Arts Council office on December 10, objections to the voter list can be filed until 6 PM on December 11, and the final voter list will be posted on December 12. On December 12, candidates who are eligible to vote can submit their nomination papers until 5 PM. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on December 13 at 4 PM, and nomination papers can be withdrawn until 5 PM on December 14. The final list of candidates will be displayed on the Arts Council’s notice board by 8 PM on December 14. The election campaign will end at midnight on December 20. Voting will take place on December 22 from 12 PM to 8 PM without interruption, and those voters who are within the Arts Council’s premises at the end of the voting time will be allowed to cast their votes. President Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi Muhammad Ahmed Shah, stated that the election date was decided in consultation with the Commissioner of Karachi. The election process will begin today, and we have established a tradition over the past five years of announcing the date first. The elected body has the authority to make decisions until midnight, but if there is any issue with the procedure, the Arts Council office will remain open 24/7 for your convenience. He also expressed his gratitude to the media for their constant support of the Arts Council.

آرٹس کونسل آف پاکستان کراچی کے الیکشن برائے سال 2025-2026ء کے حوالے سے پریس کانفرنس کا انعقاد حسینہ معین ہال میں کیاگیا، جس میں کمشنر کراچی وچیف الیکشن کمشنر سید حسن علی نقوی نے میڈیا کو بریفنگ دی، اس موقع پر ڈی سی ساﺅتھ الطاف ساریو اور صدر آرٹس کونسل محمد احمد شاہ بھی ان کے ہمراہ تھے، کمشنر کراچی و چیف الیکشن کمشنر آرٹس کونسل آف پاکستان کراچی سید حسن علی نقوی نے پریس بریفنگ میں کہاکہ آرٹس کونسل آف پاکستان کراچی کے الیکشن دو سال میں ہوتے ہیں، یہ نہ صرف الیکشن بلکہ ایک میلہ بھی ہوتا ہے ، الیکشن صاف وشفاف طریقے سے کرانے کی ذمہ داری کمشنر اور ڈپٹی کمشنر کی ہوتی ہے، صدر ، نائب صدر، سیکریٹری، جوائنٹ سیکریٹری، خازن اور گورننگ باڈی کے 12 اراکین کے انتخاب کے لیے آرٹس کونسل آف پاکستان کراچی کے الیکشن برائے سال 2026-2025ء بروز اتوار 22دسمبر 2024ءکو ہوں گے، 9 دسمبر کو ووٹر لسٹ آویزاں کردی جائے گی، 10 دسمبر کو نامزدگی فارم آرٹس کونسل کے دفتر سے حاصل کیے جاسکتے ہیں، 11 دسمبر تک شام 6بجے تک ووٹرز لسٹ پر اعتراضات داخل کیے جاسکتے ہیں، 12 دسمبر کو ووٹرز کی حتمی فہرست آویزاں کی جائے گی، 12 دسمبر کو امیدواران جو ووٹ دینے کے اہل ہوں گے شام 5 بجے تک کاغذات نامزدگی داخل کرسکتے ہیں، 13دسمبر کو کاغذات نامزدگی کی جانچ پڑتال شام 4 بجے ہوگی، 14دسمبر کو کاغذات نامزدگی شام 5 بجے تک واپس لیے جاسکتے ہیں، 14دسمبر کو ہی امیدواران کی حتمی فہرست رات 8 بجے آرٹس کونسل کے نوٹس بورڈ پر آویزاں کی جائے گی، 20 دسمبر کو انتخابی مہم رات 12 بجے اختتام پذیر ہوجائے گی، 22دسمبر کو ووٹنگ کا عمل صبح 12 بجے سے رات 8 بجے تک بلاتعطل جاری رہے گا، ووٹنگ کا وقت ختم ہونے پر جو ووٹر آرٹس کونسل کی حدود میں موجود ہوں گے ان کو ووٹ ڈالنے کی اجازت ہوگی۔ صدر آرٹس کونسل محمد احمد شاہ نے کہاکہ الیکشن کی تاریخ کا فیصلہ کمشنر کراچی کی مشاورت سے طے ہوا ہے، آج سے الیکشن کا عمل شروع ہونے جارہا ہے، ہم نے پانچ سال سے روایت ڈالی کے ہم پہلے اعلان کریں، جو بھی باڈی منتخب ہوتی ہے اس کے پاس اختیارات ہوتے ہیں کہ وہ رات 12بجے تک فیصلہ لے آتے ہیں مگر پھر بھی اگر اس لائحہ عمل میں کوئی مسئلہ درپیش ہو تو آرٹس کونسل کا دفتر 24گھنٹے آپ کے لیے کھلا ہے، میں تمام میڈیا کا شکر گزار ہوں کہ وہ ہر لمحہ آرٹس کونسل کے ساتھ کھڑا ہے۔
