Bhairav traditionally being a morning raag, creates a connection between the human and the divine of prayer. There are many kinds of Bhairav – Ahir Bhairav, Nat Bhairav, Shiva Bhairav and Bangla Bhairav. This rendering lacks the acute mood of the raag. The known bandishes are set in definite rhythmic cycles and have a lot more vigour to them.
