The directors of the Theatre groups involved in the “Pakistan Theatre Festival” were honored with Awards. Chief Minister Sindh Justice (R) Muqoob Baqar while addressing the closing ceremony said, “I congratulate you for organizing such a wonderful Pakistan Theatre Festival, which It is taking such steps to promote the arts, 7 groups from foreign countries performed here in the festival which is commendable.

I hope that the artists from foreign countries will have seen a positive and bright face of Pakistan. In the current situation of the country, it is welcome to organize such a festival, I appeal to the people to come forward and work for the promotion of arts, it is very important to have such initiatives for positive change, he said that the Arts Council will continue to take such steps for the city of Karachi, he further said that I value all the people here who bring forward a positive thought.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the president of the Arts Council, Muhammad Ahmad Shah, said that the city that was said to have problems, inflation, and unemployment, sixteen years ago when we started this journey, we had nothing.

We organized an Urdu conference, all the major writers of the country were part of the Urdu conference, many people are no longer in this world, writers from India have been coming, there were more than twelve writers in the first Urdu conference. He said that once the city was gripped by a wave of violence, but we were holding a Mushaira in the Arts Council.

Yes, it was a dilapidated building, we settled the galaxy here, we all had the passion, this is the city of sadequain, Gulji, Mehdi Hassan, he said that the name of Chief Minister Sindh Justice (R) Maqbool Baqar will be written in golden words in history because he made decisions based on justice. t should be noted that various Theatre groups from across Pakistan and seven international Theatre groups participated in the Pakistan Theatre Festival, including America, Iran, Turkey, Germany, Sri Lanka etc. In the 30-day Theatre festival, 45 shows were presented, while various workshops and discussions were also organized, while Theatres were presented in Urdu, English, Persian, Sindhi, Punjabi languages.
