Inauguration of art exhibition for flood victims at Arts Council

Three days Art and sculpture exhibition for flood victims kicks of at  Arts council of Pakistan Karachi  

Flood victims need us now, the proceeds from the sale of artworks will be deposited in the flood relief fund, PPP leader Faryal Talpur said.
This exhibition is a joint effort of Arts Council Karachi and artists across the country to help flood victims, said President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmad Shah.

Three-day art exhibition organized by the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi for the relief of flood victims was inaugurated. The President of the People’s Party Women’s Wing Ms. Faryal Talpur, Minister of Labor and Manpower Sindh Saeed Ghani were present at the exhibition.

Administrator Baldia Uzma Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Sohail Anwar Siyal, Qasim Soomro, Sadia Javeed, President of Arts Council Ahmed Shah, Secretary Prof. Ejaz Farooqui, members of governing body and many dignitaries of the city were present. Painters and sculptors from all over Pakistan were present in the exhibition. Includes works he has donated to the Arts Council. The proceeds from the sale of the works of art will be collected in the flood relief fund. The leader of Pakistan People’s Party, Faryal Talpur, while talking to the media, said that this initiative of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and Muhammad Ahmad Shah is very commendable. I am very happy that the artist community is in the field to help the flood victims, She said that the flood victims need us now, the proceeds of this exhibition will go to the flood relief fund. In this hour of sorrow, we have to support the flood victims, he appealed to the people of Karachi to come to this art exhibition of the Arts Council. Ahmad Shah has raised the offer to support by buying it, he said that I will definitely buy a masterpiece from here and I also appeal to the philanthropists to contribute to it. President of the Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah expressed that this is a unique art exhibition, it is propagated that artists do nothing, 60 works of art have been exhibited, all the artists have donated their works, the proceeds of this exhibition will go towards flood relief. He said that this is a  joint effort of the Council and the artists of the country, Ahmed Parvez Art Gallery has been decorated, the work of all the artists is displayed in this art gallery. He said that half of the pictures have been sold. Various political and social figures including Faryal Talpur have bought the pictures. In the art exhibition, Sadequain, Aijaz ul Hassan, Anwar Maqsood, Sateesh Gujral, Anjum Ayaz, Tassaduq Sohail, Mohammad Zeeshan, A.Q Arif, Masood Alam Khan, Shahid Rasam, Moin Farooqui, Abdul Jabbar Gul, Adeela Suleman, Manwar Ali Syed, Faraz Ali, Hanif Shahzad, Farrukh Sahib, Zulfiqar Zulfi, Moazzam Ali, AS Rand, Chitra pritam, Shammi Ahmed, S.M Fawad, Bukhari, Faiz Supro, Aftab Zafar, Zakir Khan, Tanveer Farooqui, Mehtab Ali, Fouzia Khan, Ajab Khan, Khalid Khan. , Qamar Siddiqui, Ghulam Abbas Kamangar, Faheem Rao, Ali Sajid, Shan Raza Amrohavi, SM Naqvi, Nazar ul Islam, Waheed, Obaid Syed, Sadia Faiz, Nisar Ahmed, Tahir Bilal, Momin, Wajiha, Behzad, Ramsha Khan, M. Jawad Khan, Paintings by Zarnab Baloch, Rada Ali Shah, Anila Arshad, Roma and Isaiah Rangel are included.The exhibition will continue till Sunday
