2nd District Competition Malir, Declamation, Theater and Singing Competitions

Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi

The first category for the day was Declamation at the 2nd District Competition- Malir for Karachi Youth Festival 2017-18. competitors were judged by a panel of judges. Their fellow colleagues cheered them on throughout the event.

The second category for the day was Theater at the 2nd District Competition – Malir for Karachi Youth Festival 2017-18. The students from schools of Malir district presented their skits and tableau’s on different topics and themes.

The final category for the District Competition- Malir of Karachi Youth Festival 2017-18 was Singing. The attendees got to see some very interesting musical talent. The performers entertained the audience with their choice of songs and their take on them.

Winner of District Competition from Saudabad Malir College, Sarah Hashmi was also present during the event. She was later invited on stage to sing for the audience who cheered for her throughout her performance. At the end, Chairman of District Council, Malir Salman Abdullah Murad Baloch  announced a cash prize of Rs. 25000 for her along with a scholarship bearing her education expenses.

President of ACP Mohammad Ahmed Shah presented Chairman of District Council, Malir Salman Abdullah Murad Baloch with bouquet and a shield after the competition. He said he is very proud of the talent that has come out of Malir. Later, he presented an honorary shield to DEO, Malir District.

One of the most loved and widely appreciated bands of Pepsi battle of the Bands Darvesh performed at the closing ceremony of the District Competition- Malir of Karachi Youth Festival 2017-18. They charged up the crowd with their energetic performance and the entire auditorium sang along and danced to their tunes and melodies.
