Sindh Theater Festival 2017 celebrated its 12th successful day on 26th April 2017, by showcasing the Sindhi language play Umar Maarui at Arts Council’s. A large number of Sindhi speaking citizens were part of the houseful auditorium who showed up to watch the live depiction of one of the most famous folk stories of Sindh. The play was written by Shahnawaz Bhatti and directed by Rafique Essani. The play is about a woman’s fight for her self respect and honor and how she deals with everything she faces with courage and valor.
